Traffic Light Plot - What it's all about

In doing parallel chemistry you would like to be able to pick out the experiment of greatest interest.  That's how the traffic light plot can help you.  Use the main window to Load HPLC Data.  Go to View in the top bar menu and select Point Profile from the drop down.  This opens the window as shown below.  Select the Traffic Light Plot.  You will see the data from each vial location displayed as shown.  Congratulations.

Use the drop down menus on the right to select the peak of interest and the parameter for the y-axis such as area percent.  Each tick along the x-axis correponds to a vial position in ascending order.

The value for the selected peak is shown in red for the first sample, yellow for the median sample and green for the last sample.  Look for the separation between lights in order to identify chemistry of interest.  Also look for anomalies such as the yellow light higher than the green that may indicate reversion.  You can see chemistry of interest.

Run the cursor over the x-axis to display the peak profile in the bottom left window for that vial.  Point the cursor to a light to see the chromatograph in the window on the bottom right.  Everything you need on one screen.  Copy and paste the Traffic Light Plot to any Windows-compatible application such as Word or PowerPoint or to an electronic notebook.
